NEW VESSEL GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
And EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

This vessel is required as a rescue vessel capable of normally operating up to 50Nm offshore and has to satisfy the requirements for 2C survey and the requirements, as applicable to the USL code

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

Length: 14 metres
Beam: 4 metres
Construction: Aluminium
Draught: One metre approx.
Motors: Twin Diesel either Cummins/Volvo
approx. 400 hp at 2500RPM
Dual battery banks each motor protected by circuit breakers on all circuits, adequate alternator capacity for full load, auto charging sensors
On motor also fitted with 24v alternator for supply to radar
Fuel filtering system using Racor or similar
Heat alarms to engine room, gear box with appropriate light and sound alarms
Fresh water header tanks for engine cooling– radiator caps and expansion tanks
Access to all anodes in heat exchangers etc.
Access to all oil and air filters
Good roomy access to all batteries
Manual engine cut offs to fuel pumps and to fuel tanks. Levelling lines between tank
Pyrometers to both motors
Exhaust water jackets as fitted by manufacturer)
Full engine instrumentation to manufacturers specifications

Gear box Twin Disk 2:1 reduction
Fire suppression Water misting to both motors to manufacturers specifications.
Propellors Four Bladed
Fuel Capacity 3000 litres giving 30/40 hours at cruising speed
Fresh Water 1000 litres
Operating speed: Cruising at 20kn. Top of 25kns
Anchor Winch Muir or similar
Wheel-house The Wheel-house will be located in the normal Fly bridge
Fly bridge Enclosed. TOTALLY
