Commanders Message

Welcome to Innisfail Coast Guard's new website. The purpose for such a site is to introduce you to the Flotilla QF15, the work we do, and importantly why we need a new primary rescue vessel. As you move around the various site links you will find out about our past record as a Marine Rescue Unit, a little about the boats we have used since QF15 was formed back in 1973, some of the antidotal stories of rescues, some of which could have had a more serious outcome had a crew from QF15 not been able to respond, and another of a little girl whose fears were quietened by our arrival.

The men and women who put all on hold, even risk their own lives to answer the call of distress at sea now seek a new quicker two engine vessel to do the job better and safer. Read the why/how this particular vessel was chosen, read the technical specifications for the new vessel and also that of the current boat "Just Laray".

Commander Rob BryantCan you help us to raise the necessary funds to replace this ageing vessel?

Maybe you would like to join this Flotilla and be trained as a member of the boat crew or as a base station radio operator.
